Habitat Restoration at McClellan Ranch

Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children under 12 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor. Groups may contact Joanne McFarlin, joannem@acterra.org, for their own special program dates/hours.

What: Volunteers help with habitat restoration work such as removing invasive plants, mulching, and installing native plants. Plus, this is a good opportunity to do a bit of wildlife watching and learning about our local native plants.

When: 9:30am -12:30pm

Where: Meet at 9:30 am near the main parking lot at McClellan Ranch, 22221 McClellan Road in Cupertino. If you come later than 9:30 am, please call Joanne at 408-857-6781 as we may be working at a site not visible from the parking lot.

Parking: Please do not park in the main parking lot. Instead, park in the dirt field accessed from McClellan Road on the other side of the creek from the main park entrance. It looks a bit like a private residence, but it is not - it is a part of the park.

Please bring: A reusable water bottle and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended). We provide gloves and tools. Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent.

When you complete your registration for this event, you DO NOT need to print a receipt or ticket...even though Eventbrite tells you to.
