SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 21, 2014) - Swinerton Builders recently chose Mark Hallock to lead quality efforts for the company's expansive northern region, which includes offices in Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Santa Clara. As regional quality director, based in Silicon Valley, Hallock will leverage project management skills from his previous role to oversee a quality program designed to reduce construction deficiencies and minimize the need for costly rework and schedule delays.

Hallock will manage a multifaceted program that includes site-specific quality management plans for all projects, third-party exterior envelope reviews, and robust employee training for mitigating project-specific risks. Swinerton's companywide rollout of field technology -- such as Autodesk's BIM 360 Glue and Field and 4D scheduling platforms -- is another major component of modern quality culture at the 126-year-old company. These tools help project teams coordinate complex data, avoid "clashes" of multiple building systems, and ensure construction is done properly the first time.

Trained in architecture, Hallock has worked as an architect, a superintendent, and, most recently, as a project manager in Swinerton's Santa Clara office. He recently received his California Department of the State Architect (DSA) Class 1 inspector certification and is a LEED® Accredited Professional.
