Looking for Entertainment and Activities in Santa Clara?

If you are looking for entertainment and fun activities while you are in Santa Clara, you will have no trouble at all finding something to fit your tastes for the day. From art museums to historical tech exhibits and outdoor activities for both kids and their parents, Santa Clara has a wealth of activities and attractions that are sure to keep you entertained and interested!

Mission Santa Clara de Asis – If you are in Santa Clara, you certainly can’t miss out on seeing the Mission that gave rise to the area. Mission Santa Clara de Asis sits on the campus of Santa Clara University and is always immaculately kept and a wonderful attraction. One of the most painstakingly cared for and restored of all of California’s Missions, this site will give you an idea of both the history of the area and of a time long gone by.

California’s Great America – One of the most visited attractions in Silicon Valley and Santa Clara County, California’s Great America has been the institution in the San Francisco Bay Area for thrill seekers for decades. A full scale amusement park with a wide range of rides and attractions to fit everything from daring thrill seekers to small children, Great America is open throughout most of the year and has many seasonal events and specials.

Triton Museum of Art – Sometimes known as Santa Clara’s favorite museum, the Triton houses an eclectic collection of 19th and 20th century art works from around Europe and the Pacific Rim regions. They also feature artwork from well known San Francisco Bay Area artists and a full line of community programs and educational events.

Intel Museum – A rarity in the corporate world, computer manufacturing giant Intel has created this historical museum and kept it open free of charge to the public. Visit and you will see educational exhibits and relics from the beginnings of the computer industry, photographs of employees and laboratories, and an in depth look at the evolution of computers in general.

De Saisset Art Museum – Located on the campus of Santa Clara University, this free museum houses one of the most highly regarded collections of fine art in the South Bay Area. An extensive permanent collection and an ever changing rotation of traveling exhibits keeps art lovers coming back here time after time.

Winchester Mystery House – One of the most visited attractions in all of the San Francisco Bay Area, visitors travel from around the country to see the mysterious architecture and inexplicable design of this old mansion. Stairways leading into the ceiling, hidden rooms, purported spirit sightings, and more make this tour one of the most memorable anywhere.

San Jose Museum of Art – Founded relatively recently, in 1969, the San Jose Museum of Art was begun as a gallery and collective and the spirit of this auspicious beginning remains today. Visit the galleries of the museum and discover one of the most unique collections of artworks in any of the South Bay museums.

Happy Hollow Park and Zoo – A petting zoo and outdoor park complete with educational exhibits, interactive learning and play activities, animals, and a miniaturized train for the little ones, Happy Hollow has been pleasing children and parents alike for decades as well. This is an amusement park that is custom built and designed to delight your little ones!
