Santa Clara is one of the best places in the San Francisco Bay Area to visit bars or go clubbing. There's something for everyone in this lovely little Northern California town. With the recent boom in technology companies and a younger club-going generation there's plenty of places to go after the sun goes down.
The younger 20s crowd will find dance clubs to be some of the best in California which is a rather difficult statement make in an area that is fashionable and the heart of pop culture. There is Tinker’s Dam, Studio 8, Fahrenheit Lounge, and the Swinging Hookah. The dancing varies from hip-hop to salsa to country and rock. We ask that if someone has had too much to drink that you help them take a cab back home.
If you like listening to live music you'll love these awe inspiring venues: JJ Blue’s, Avalon and Satori. These renowned music clubs are what makes Santa Clara stand out as a fine entertainment venue. Want to show off your own talent? Karaoke clubs abound, like The Oasis, Music Tunnel, the New Jersey’s and Gamba Karaoke. Feel free to sing it up or just relax and listen while others take the center stage.
I would be amiss if I did not mention the plethora of late night dining choices in this beautiful city. The Steps of India is one of my personal favorites, the dining experience along with the social format of the restaurant make it the perfect place for an intimate dinner for two or a group outing with your closest friends. MoGo Barbeque has been described as mind bending and awesome. You can actually feel your mouth start to water as you walk in and smell the flavors. The In-n-Out is an awesome hangout for everyone of any age and it is just ten minutes from Dave and Busters.
Dave and Busters is an experience unto itself. It is a combination restaurant and arcade/game room. This is the Chuck E Cheese for adults, although kids can have fun too. Loosen your tie, let down your hair and prepare to have fun into the night here. There's nothing like it anywhere else.
Personally, I like to end my night at The Cardiff Lounge. It is a high energy dance club, but there are few secluded corners where I like to just sit back, and people watch. It is a great end to an evening on the town. Santa Clara may appear staid and businesslike during the day, but at night its claws it transforms into a night scene with action for any and everyone.
